Why it works

Pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is one of the most studied brightening ingredients, but it breaks down quickly once mixed with water. CE3 keeps it as a powder in a separate C+ Activator until you're ready to start the bottle, so it's freshly mixed rather than slowly losing strength on a shelf.

Ferulic acid and vitamin E support the vitamin C as antioxidants. Eight forms of hyaluronic acid add light hydration, and allantoin helps keep skin comfortable.

If your skin is sensitised: 18% vitamin C is a strong active. Start 2 to 3 times a week and build up slowly, and always patch test first. If your barrier is feeling fragile, calm it first with our Calm & Repair products, then introduce CE3.

How to activate

How to activate CE3 Brightening Buffet with the C+ Activator

1. Twist open the pump of the serum bottle.

2. Peel open the C+ Activator glass vial, following the arrow on the cap.

3. Pour the powder into the serum using the paper funnel provided.

4. Close the pump and shake 30 to 60 times to mix.

Once mixed: use within 3 months, and store away from heat and direct sunlight. Write the date you mixed it on the bottle. If the serum turns dark orange or brown, the vitamin C has oxidised and it's time to start a fresh bottle.

How to use

Apply 1 to 2 pumps to clean, dry skin, then follow with moisturiser. In the morning, always finish with sunscreen.

Avoid using in the same routine as strong exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) or retinoids. If you use them, alternate: for example, CE3 in the morning and retinoids at night.
